Off-the-wall substitutions

OK...this is coming up too frequently for it to be a fluke. But the CPU makes some really odd substitutions.

In one game, the CPU had Rob Refsnyder, who obviously only has OF ratings, remain in the game at SS after PH despite JP Crawford being available off the bench.

I'm not sure if it's related to this. I've been noticing in general that during a season, many players will have a game at a strange position relative to their own. Makes me wonder if those aren't emergency-sub type things and it's just a bug.

I think there is a big time issue with the AI putting players at positions they are not rated at or have much better options for a position like you have pointed out here. I started a thread on things I have seen here https://forums.ootpdevelopments.com/...d.php?t=369798

Very odd. I don't remember this in past versions, outside of perhaps a player getting put somewhere strange in an emergency as with real life.
