Help with the card shop

With the popularity of the "heart" tourneys, and others where the card set is limited to a specific time frame, it would be nice if the card shop and variant marketplace allowed you to filter cards to a date range. This would also probably be of some use to the TTC bunch.

Also, the card shop is becoming reluctant to display the available cards without refreshing the filter. I have no idea why someone though this was necessary. And again, if I am searching in the card shop for cards in a specific time frame and also want to go see if there are any variants available, I have to reenter the filter when I jump to the VMP.

it's possible with regular expressions, the search bar takes that into consideration. doesn't work with peak cards though, but it's a half measure for now.

$200+ Real Money

A reminder this card is trading above $200 Real Money now, in a game that offers no cash prizes.

Yes, I know. But I am tired of typing 193|194|195]196|197}198 into the search bar repeatedly. Can I type in >1929 <1900 as well? That's a few less characters, and again whenever I leave the variant market to the card shop I have to type that character string in again.

That's cheap. Ignoring the one-of-a-kind Bellinger, there are 4 other cards with higher L10's in the Card Shop - Seaver (10 copies), Morgan (20 copies), Heyward (10 copies) and Kevin Brown (packable, like Made).

And if you think that's outrageous, Kevin Brown's variant card sold for close to 1 million PP. Beltre's sold for 900K. My advice to all of you, if you pull a premium variant like that, is to wait until the Thursday night before a PTCS weekend, you'll get about double its variant L10 price if the base card is less than a month old, and you can check THAT in the card shop.

But people are willing to spend enormous sums of money to gratify their egos. Famous centuries old paintings can sell for $10 million or more to people who just want to be able to look at them in their homes. Billionaires pay billions for sports franchises just so they can own something that has a small supply and a vast importance to some segments of society. And you can surely think of other instances.

it's easy to get many millions of pp for free, just by playing the game. that's not a good comparison.

If I'm reading the card correctly, it was Made by Jesus, so it's going to go for a lot.

Only gripe is the word "easy". Think you are talking bid/ask in speculative (new) Cards.

Many of those 'markets' are liquid, requiring huge reserve investment.

it is easy. it just takes time and patience and actually playing the game. it won't happen automatically, but the skills/ability to do it are not very difficult at all.
