Smaller Park for Regional or Minors Use

(Note: This park is in response to requests for a smaller baseball venue for regional and minor league play)

Valley Field may be a minor league park but it is a major league facility as far as fan comfort and entertainment are concerned. The recently constructed stadium features wide concourses, plentiful concessions, corporate suites and party areas plus a full range of kid's activities.

The stadium consists of a roofed infield grandstand that extends from first base to third base. Luxury suites rim its upper level. Bleachers extend from the grandstand down either foul line. There is another bleacher section in left field along with a party and picnic area and more luxury boxes. The bullpens are located beyond the outfield fences just to the left of center field. A state-of-the-art Daktronics scoreboard and video display stand in right center field. There are a number of hotels and restaurants adjacent to the park which is situated at the edge of town just off the freeway.

Capacity: 6,350

Left Field Line 320
Left Field 355
Left Center 373
Center Field 400
Right Center 373
Right Field 355
Right Field Line 320

Fences 8 ft.

I have to say that this is your best park yet. I like the simplicity.

Yeah. The only thing missing is the airport.

Thanks for another fine stadium.

Quite a few people have asked when and where your recent stadiums can be downloaded? So far, I haven't seen a reply. I hope you will make them available.

I downloaded your superb collection of Modern Ballparks and Classic Ballparks.

I am not very computer literate, so please pardon my ignorance.

Some of your stadiums are 980 kb and some are 28 kb. I have other stadiums downloaded from Henry's site (Oldtime Baseball, I think). These are installed in my leagues and they show 900 kb.
Do these stadium sizes (kb number) have to be 900 like Henry's? Or did I download yours improperly?

Also, I downloaded the "park.dat" and "parkconf.dat" for the classic ballparks. When I tried to download them for the modern ballparks, it said it already had files by these names. I was afraid I would overwrite them and cancelled the download.

One final question...When a stadium is downloaded from this mods forum, does it contain all that is needed to install it in OOTP5? Does it contain the park.dat and parkconf.dat files?

How do I get all stadiums the correct size (if it's necessary?) and how do I get the second set of park.dat and parkconf.dat into OOTPB?

Thanks for any help and advice you can share.

You are killing me Teflon. I have 2 fictional league that use your parks and the more that you come out with the harder the decisions are as to which ones to use.

Nice work btw.

Just right click on the picture and select Save As to download the new parks. Make sure to change the file format to BMP and name it what ever you want. Put it in the OOTP5/Graphics folder.

Size has nothing to do with it

Also, I downloaded the "park.dat" and "parkconf.dat" for the classic ballparks. When I tried to download them for the modern ballparks, it said it already had files by these names. I was afraid I would overwrite them and cancelled the download.

You will need to save them as different file names or they will overwrite each other. You cannot have 2 files named park.dat or anything else for that matter in the same folder.

One final question...When a stadium is downloaded from this mods forum, does it contain all that is needed to install it in OOTP5? Does it contain the park.dat and parkconf.dat files?

No. That is why he gives you the stats for each stadium so that you can manually enter this information yourself, which only takes about 3 seconds to do.

How do I get all stadiums the correct size (if it's necessary?) and how do I get the second set of park.dat and parkconf.dat into OOTPB?

Ok that is 2 more questions past your one final question

All stadiums are the correct size so you don’t need to worry about that. You cannot have 2 sets of dat files named the same in any one directory. Manually entering the information for the extra stadiums will not take long and all the stats are on his website. You could also create a dummy league and set up the second set of ballparks so that you can export the stats for them to be imported into the real league. Do a quick search on stadium installations and you will find more than enough information on how to do all this.

Thanks, couriers. I really appreciate people like you, dbacks, Scott, shub, cuss 16, Henry, TigerFan,Steve and several others that are always ready to help out the "newbies" and the computer illiterates that are trying to set up OOTPB the way it should be played, complete with great stadiums and great logos.

I apologize for my ignorance.

As a rule, I do searches to try to find out how to do things with the game, but usually important information is left out. That's when I post a thread and hope someone will fill in between the lines and come to my rescue.

Thanks again.

Hi,

Would somebody be kind enough to post a link to Teflon's site? I had the link saved, but I get "Page Not Found" when I try to use it, so I'm guessing it's an older link. Thanks.
