Playoff Series MVP’s
Is there a calculation/methodology to how the playoff series mvps get awarded? I just had a playoff series where IRL a pitcher would have won. And I thought that o don’t think in all my years I’ve seen a pitcher win. I know it’s usually a hitter irl though.

I think Yamamoto won last year for the Dodgers, and I recall Baumgartner & Rivera winning also. So pitchers will win sometimes, but it is still a very rare occurrence.

That's not true. It's just a rare occurrence. I had it happen just last year in a low-scoring division series.

I just had a catcher win the Championship Series MVP when a pitcher should have won.
Five-game series(best of seven) Catcher: 8-19, .421/.522/.684, 2 2B, HR, 6 RS, 5 RBI, SB, 4 BB, 3 K Pitcher: 2-0, 2 GS, 2 CG, 1 SHO, 18.0 IP, 1 ER, 0.50 ERA, 0 BB, 10 K, 0.44 WHiP

Yeah, I think the usual way the game gives pitchers the win is if no batter really distinguishes himself. If you've got a batter with a 1.200 OPS the game isn't even going to consider a pitcher.

Once in a while I have a pitcher win. If it's somewhat close it seems to favor the position player. Is that the way it should be, I don't know???
