Selling Method Strategy

How do long term players manage their cards? I'm FTP and just use the twitch drops really for ripping packs and try to buy and flip cards. I've only done a few of the missions so far because I don't think many of them are worth it.

I'm in low bronze for season mode after just winning the World Series in iron and I'm trying to build a bronze, silver, and gold tournament team at the moment. I currently keep getting bounce in the second round of every tournament because I keep running into variants.

Currently I have:
Diamond - 7
Gold - 12
Silver - 79
Bronze - 104
Iron - 18
Variant - 1

Does it make sense to just keep 40-50 cards for each level to rotate around for tournaments? With the twitch packs I've basically been auto selling all the iron cards and picking and choosing bronze and silver to sell. While flipping golds for different golds and buying the occasional diamond.

Any insight is appreciated.

you should not get rid of any non dupes, since those cards will be in missions eventually and skyrocket in price, almost certainly.

So don't sell anything ever even iron cards?

non dupes? i wouldn't. or you're going to set yourself back.

speculation is important: one of the goals in this game is to find points, so having cards that you think will go up in price is important. the first live update is monday, so live cards will change ratings, and holding onto cards that go up in rating will be worth more is a way to make a lot of points. i made millions doing it last year.

I don't sell anything that is 'not in missions' yet

As others have said you definitely can get more points by holding a bunch of cards but the 'season' only runs 1 year so I like my point spend to be more spread out across the year. I try to hold lives of people I know are having a good year but beyond that I don't lose any sleep quick-selling dupes that are already in a mission.

So if it is in missions you do sell because that's peak value?

Pretty much-- it's inevitable that a small number of these will end up spiking in value sometime in the next year as more missions are added, but the majority will be at or near peak-value. I'd rather have a consistent stream of points throughout the year than live like a poor man with a few big paydays sprinkled throughout the year.

Ultimately there's no right or wrong answer, it's just whatever you enjoy more-- If you feel chasing the big paydays gives you more fun overall go that route

Near 600 packs opened.

Not a mission fan due to Dave.Stieb.2026.Ultimate.Truth/
You enter new season, half your league has mission reward Stieb 100.

By Saturday night, half Stiebs churning 1.70 WHIPs and 6.00+ ERAs, half of the rest doing Randy Johnson corner painters 3x week., the rest bloody sock Schillings.

Just pulled 1st 100 historic from packs, somewhere above 600 rips. Rookie Daisuke. If it was earlier, would have sold him and taken 100,000+ PP. But just finished 1st winning HG season so I'm keeping my eyes on the prize.

Going to raise cash Tuesday after the big reveal.Even one 100 in my 90s LIVEs will help. More likely, those 90s become 80s.
