A little help with facepacks..
I have D'L'd and used Killebrew's Fictional Facepacks (1-4) and those are pretty good. But not EXACTLY what I'm looking for...here's what I'm looking for:
Killebrew's used real-life, current pictures of mainly minor league players which are labeled P1, P234, etc. I loved that set, but the only problem was that almost all of the players look very young. With them being minor leaguers, that's to be expected. But, when you have a player that is 36 years old and his pic has him as a 19 year old....you see the problem. So, what I'm looking for is a facepack that uses real people (I could care less if they are Minor Leaguers, Majors, etc) with a good mix of young and old, that are not "named" packs. FOr instance, I don't want pics with "John Smith" as a name...I want "P104" for the name...so you can use them with fictional leagues. A bit longwinded, but is there anyone who can point me in the right direction? I've looked in quite a few places, but so far, have come up empty. Thanks in advance, Eddie

You described my facepack. It's a mix of players from 20-40 years old, all very anonymous looking. I have removed the logos for further realism since I always hated seeing cap logos for teams that were not even in my league. The pics are numbered as you described, no player names.
The downside is there are only 800 pics so far. I am adding to it with a supplement pack. |

You can always use Batch Thumbs to convert the named files to P1... files in the matter of a few seconds. I do that even to the numbered files just to mix the photos up among my different leagues.
usba.ootp-leagues.com/LivnLegend's%20Photo%20Pack.zip Sorry but it won't let me create a link to the download. Copy the above address with www. added to the front of it and paste it in the address bar to get the file. Last edited by couriers; 06-14-2003 at 03:14 PM. |

Batch Thumbs is a freeware product that will allow you to do a massive rename in the matter of a few clicks.
Put all the files in one folder and tell batch thumbs where they are and how to rename them. You will be able to tell the program to rename them starting with P1 and to add one number per file so that you will end up with P1, P2, P3... Easy as pie. I personally don't have much of a problem with seeing younger player photos for older players. I figure that we all have pictures of ourselves when we were younger and if I had the choice I would want others to see those instead of my old and balding sorry ass in my 30s. |

Older than I once was and younger than I'll ever be.
