what happens if I resign from team but with commissioner mode enabled?

before I proceed, in my current save, I am the GM of the NJ Devils and have commissioner mode enabled. once the season is over I'm thinking over resigning from the team, but if I still have commissioner mode enabled will I still be able to make changes to other team's players (ex injuries) that are in the playoffs?
