We are nearing the end of the launch cycle patches, hopefully, and have one more patch we want to get out, 27.1.52. This should fix some of the roster AI, as well as a few more stability updates. We are putting this as a public beta patch today, and should have it as a full patch soon after.
Changelist 27.1.52
Important info for online leagues: This version is compatible between versions. Update Info for our webstore customers: To apply the update, simply download the setup file and install it over your current installation. There is no need to uninstall or unlicense your current copy! However, you should quit the game before attempting to install the update. Please note that you may need to delete or unload previous installers of the game after download. Please be sure that after updating you see the correct version of your game. For Steam users, this is set up as a public beta version. How to access the beta on Steam: Quit OOTP 27 if it's running. Open Steam client -> Library Right click on Out of the Park Baseball 27 Click on "Properties" at the bottom of the menu Click on the Game Versions & Betas tab, and select "public_beta". Close the Properties popup It should start downloading the beta version. Note that you can opt in or out of the public beta version using the same procedure. Download link for Windows PC (Fastspring Webstore Version): Main server: PC Installer Mirror Link: PC Installer Here's a PC installer (Fastspring) that installs into a single folder, which is useful for external HDs for example. Or for creating a second test install of the game, so you can try the patch out without the risk of messing up your main install of the game if something is wrong in the patch: PC Single Folder Installer Download link for MacOS (FastSpring): Main Server: MacOS Installer Mirror Link: MacOS Installer As always, please report any issues you see. ![]() Matt + The OOTP Team |

Bugs as always should go in the tech support forum: https://forums.ootpdevelopments.com/...lay.php?f=4087
Smaller issues can be mentioned in the thread here usually (unless if they fit somewhere else, like the cosmetics issue thread https://forums.ootpdevelopments.com/...d.php?t=367716) |

ok, thank you...maybe you should post a link to your 1st post, so the community knows exactly where to post to keep things organized, more or less.

Ran a quick test sim for a year and skimmed a few teams' transactions logs. Looks like the waiving/DFA roster transactions looks much better and more sensible. Going to start my main long-term save now I think.

Thanks devs for the patches!
I haven't played version 27 yet but I've owned it since release. I have, however, run simulations of every patch. I can say that it looks much better now with players being released via waivers. I simulated until 2035 and at a quick glance, I can't see many transactions (hardly any) that look crazy. I went through all the drafts from 2026 to 2035 and the result is good! I also don't see any weird contracts with values I've seen discussed on the forum. I always play with yearly inflation set to 0-0 instead of 0-2 percent. The highest value of a contract in 2035 in my sim was just over 50 million (not crazy at all) but generally speaking, it looks balanced. I would say that OOTP 27 is ready to be played now. Very early considering how balanced it is compared to previous versions - if you ask me. Thanks again for the quick, slightly smaller patches! |

Manager picutre and lines in the clouds.
Still cannot change manger facegen by loading photo from file. Also, still have lines in the clouds sky box. This only shows the lines in a game but not when you look at the sky box in the file.

I am experiencing an issue with live start player ratings. For example a new save with a live start on Opening Day as the Athletics, my MLB players aren't correctly rated. Nick Kurtz is rated at 34/34. Shea Langeliers is the highest rated at 43/43. It appears that the ratings for all other players not on the Active Roster are receiving a massive ratings boost, even when compared to MLB level. Prospects are showing as 62/80.

Apologies if this is the wrong spot, but when I start a new livestart after downloading this patch, AI-controlled teams outright release a number of high-rated players on day one (e.g., Nick Lodolo (55/55); River Ryan (50/50)).

I'm still noticing lots of weird ball movement glitches especially hitting into gaps in the outfield.. where the ball appears in one place and then in another in an unrealistic fashion.
Otherwise no probs with the beta patch that I have seen. |

AI failing to sign draft picks
Any chance you could look at the AI and draft pick budgeting/behavior? Every year I'm seeing multiple teams fail to sign their 1st round picks, especially the top guys. It looks like they might just be offering slot and giving up or running out of money. Then it starts snowballing, and they don't sign their comp pick or normal pick the next year either. In my current save I don't think the White Sox have signed a 1st round pick in years, with multiple fail to sign comp picks each draft.

I posted in the 26 forum, but I'm still on 25 and was hoping any of the AI Roster fixes they're putting in for 27 would make their way back to the current 26 beta patch (that's still in beta) before I migrate my long-standing league from 25 to 26. If not, I'm might just skip 26 and go straight to 27 once it's stable.
But the report about teams now not being able to sign their draft picks is concerning. That is a snowball of a problem, because they'll just keep getting compensation picks and never have enough money to sign all of them and completely wreck the draft for everyone else. I'd be curious to hear if others notice this same thing. |

Just my two cents, but it's getting harder and harder to figure out what a true issue is. As we import different leagues into new versions, different settings, financials, league and roster sizes are going to cause different issues. Probably the best thing is to backup your save and take your league for a test run, and see what happens.

I looked at the same simulation I previously referred to. Checked all the drafts from 2026 to 2035. Looked at roughly picks 1 through 15. During those seasons, there were 6 players who didn't sign with the team that drafted them.
