Welp GANG….. (Whoops) I did it again…!

All the same goodies below BUT with the additions of:

- 2026 projected 26 man rosters for all 30 teams

- 40 man for each team should be about 95% accurate (may have missed some….also in real life this will be somewhat in flux next 24+ hours with last minute decisions)

- Recent PCA extension for Cubs

- Updated injuries as of 3/25

- Players waived today will start on Waivers/DFA in set


Other notes:

I have Triple A roster limit set to hold 40 players. Many of the NRI’s are stashed there. I realized this is way higher than real life, however wanted to leave for now as most teams will not finalize minor league assignments for several more days. My intention is NOT to have all of the minor league rosters also be 100% accurate, as I would never finish lol. My goal is to get a realistic MLB experience out to everyone as quickly as possible to enjoy Opening Day. Feel free to adjust the Triple A roster limit as you wish!

Once you sect your team please remember to enable “Set all Computer Teams to Allow AI Roster Changes”. I turn off the AI to create roster sets…so just remember to enable this!

Friends…welcome to OOTP27! I present to you my most ambitious project yet…!! I have leveraged respected projection system Steamer for 2026 projected stats to load in ratings, adjust potentials, and calibrate the MLB universe. In addition to this I’ve reviewed scouting reports for prospects and 2026 potential draftees on Baseball America, MLB Pipeline, Fan graphs, and others. Hundreds of hours invested over the past four plus months to arrive at this point.

For those of you that are new to my universe…hello and welcome! Since the MLB 2023 season, my roster set updates on the OOTP boards have culminated an astounding ~310,000 VIEWS!!!!

AMAZING!!!! Seriously thank you to everyone for your support over the years. Means a lot to me to share my passion with everyone!


Who am I? I create MLB roster universes for myself and then share that vision with the OOTP community. I have a system of leveraging databases, calibrating from sources like Baseball America, MLB Pipeline, FanGraphs, Steamer, ZIPs, Baseball Savant and much more to create as realistic MLB universe as possible.

A million years ago I was honored to create the MLB roster set for OOTP 6 and my pal Markus, creator of the OOTP series.


- Roster set LOADED with 2026 Steamer projections!!! Over 9,000 players

- Steamer R/L splits loaded for both batters and pitchers

- I use “context neutral” Steamer projections so players do not receive the “double boost” from extreme parks like Coors, Great American Ballpark, etc

- Top 100 prospects calibrated

- Top 30 prospects for every team calibrated

- Updated injuries

- Roster transactions accurate as of 3/18/26

- Updated MLB draft order

- 2025 Rule 5 draft selections

- 2025 Rule 4 (minor league) draft selections

- 2026 MLB schedule

- Any trades/signings up to 3/18/26

- Top 100+ International Free Agents rated and placed on projected team per Baseball America

- Top 300+ 2026 draft prospects rated per scouting reports Baseball America. Many of the lower HS players did not list birthdate so they have a default of 1/1/2008. For pitchers, the pitch mix and velocity may be off. With my database I focus more on stuff/movement/control.

- Mass reduction to free agent pool fodder. Retired all players below 40 FV. This leaves 456 players versus a bajillion.

Hey gang,

Since these extensions occurred basically on Opening Day or maybe day after, I've updated the set to include the Baz and Hoerner extensions, along with a few other smaller moves, and a few ratings slight adjustments.

Updated on 3/28 - includes Nico Hoerner and Shane Baz extensions

With the updated patch I have not seen anything crazy. Usually roster fodder of 35-45 value type players. FYI - I’ve only simmed out a few seasons with next patch and not a bajillion so fairly small sample size.

Just a couple of injury notes about the Cardinals:
-Tekoah Roby had Tommy John surgery last July, he shows as uninjured in the file.
-Hancel Rincon is shown as having been released last November and is in the Yankees organization. He was briefly in camp with the Cardinals and a release/free agency isn't shown on his transaction page (https://www.milb.com/player/hancel-rincon-684516)

Do you have a setting turned off for international free agent money? On the player development screen it says the amount is $0 and the budget is $0.

Just curious if that is something to be able to get turned on through settings.

Slightly weird question but with the lower PCMs how would you handle other leagues like KBO?

Thinking adjust them down so theyre the same relative to where they were to MLB at 1.0?

Hey gang,

The past few years I've liked to *slightly* adjust a handful of players in my roster set once we have a few weeks of games in and/or if any major extensions since that will impact the future of your league file.

Game date is still Opening Day, however I have placed the extensions for Cooper Pratt (MIL), Konnor Griffin (PIT), and Colt Emerson (SEA).

In addition to extensions, I've slightly adjusted a few players such as Jordan Walker, Jose Soriano (LAA), and others.
