Staff - Is there anyway to edit the favors veterans attribute

I'm finding a few quality vets are getting absolutely buried on some of the teams with a HC that prefers prospects. Is this editable?

The only way I can think of would be to go into the manger options tab and take over control of " Lineups ": I dont see any editable trait on a coach that would change that.
