Welcome to the pre-release beta!

We are officially launching the pre-release beta now. Thanks to everyone who has pre-ordered! We hope everyone is looking forward to this version with eager anticipation.

We do have to start with one caveat. We found an issue on macs that we could not release with, so are in the process of fixing that ASAP. We will release the pre-order links for mac shortly, but did not want to delay Windows customers any further. Update: The mac links are up. Sorry for the delay!

If you have not yet pre-ordered and want to get in on the action, you still can do it here. When you pre-order you'll get a license key and can activate it right away.

Note for PC Users: If you get a Windows Defender warning when launching the installer, click on "More info" and then the button to launch the program anyway.

We'll have new beta builds coming out over the next few days, as we fix the issues that are reported.

We do want to report a few known issues with this, that we are investigating, but should not delay the launch:
WBC - Your team's game doesn't show in play menu when you officially take the job. You can still get to it via the schedule or the manager screens
WBC - Jakey Josepha doesn't not have Dutch nationality, so default Netherlands roster is invalid. Can add this in the editor or replace him with another player.
WBC - A couple of the ballparks have camera views behind obstructions
PT - auto roster setup will place pitchers as DH-eligible
PT - the Artifact pack shows the PP icon instead of Stars, but you still pay Stars
PT - tournament / draft entry limits don't update and with that the join buttons don't disable
PT - so when you try to enter a tournament/draft while having your max entries, it appears that you can still join, but that is just a visual glitch
Historical games SB totals are slightly high
MLB - In the offseason start no players load

I hope you can release the Mac version soon. I don't have a Windows machine. I understand unexpected pitfalls could come up, but if it's a long delay, it will be hard not to feel burned. been lurking this forum most of the day, got to give up for now. I guess my order being on a mac is why I didn't get an email?

Yeah, I think it's entirely fair to have an issue with not being able to access the game you paid for at the time the company that sold it to you launches the beta.

The reading comprehension comments are just unnecessary.

I went in and it wouldn't take my login. Got the link to reset my password and now it is still saying invalid credentials.

Exactly. Ordered early just to get access three days early. Will have Mac Beta out ASAP doesn't tell us very much.

I just launched the game and there are no players on rosters. When you search for players, they all say no players found matching. This is trying an off-season start. It loads fine doing a live start.

@fabtron: lol. I do hate being locked into this niche ecosystem, but Windows has gotten so bad, and the work I do is much easier with Mac's software and filesystem. Seeing some of these other comments, maybe it's a blessing in disguise that we had to wait.

@KULBADEN: 100% - "coming soon" or "out ASAP" could have been said a week ago... for me the whole point of pre-ordering was to get the early access (otherwise would have bought on steam, much easier that way)... the number of hours I will be able to invest in day 1 of 3 is quickly dwindling towards none, but I hope it'll be soon instead of "soon".

Confused though about problems releasing the Mac version. Why wasn’t this caught beforehand? I bought the early release version to play ahead of the regular release.

just an alternate place the file is being stored in case there are problems with the first link and/or the traffic it generates.
