Mining for gold... and great baseball in the Garden State!
In this save, I will be taking over the Sussex County Miners in the newly-formed New Jersey Baseball Association.

Our free agent signings entering our first season were 3B Pedro Anaya and CF Jeff Lloyd.
We signed Anaya to a 3 year contract worth 11.6 million. Lloyd signed for 1 year, 3.5 million. |

On the batting side of things, our two best players are SS Brian Phillips and LF Mario Paz.

As far as starting pitching is concerned, we are at best slightly above average. The best of the bunch seems to be Dave Schorr.
Relieving could be a problem for sure, as outside of our closer Mike Kennedy, nobody else looks too good. |

We win our first game in 14 innings against Camden. Very nearly lost in that final inning, too. Combined score of 27 runs!!

In our second game against Camden, we absolutely clobber the ball. The Riversharks fail to respond as the game ends 17-2.

We manage to stay unbeaten as we rally runs in the 9th and 10th to win again. 3 wins to no losses.

4th game of the season, and our first look at the Newark Bears.
Luckily for us, we manage to defeat them 4-2. We gain our 4th win of the season. |

...and we have lost our first game.
The Bears walk it off in the 11th inning with 2 runs scoring. The game ends 3-1 with Newark LF Salvador Rivas hitting a home run to end it. |
