Perfect Team: Team Compare
Kicking around a matchup overview / team compare idea within league or a tourney.
a) using just static simple rating information b) though league or tournament in progress stat comparisons could be a thing as well If anyone has ideas they'd like or comes to mind or examples from other sport games, feel free to msg or reply/add your comments. ----------------------------------------- Is one team speed focused? Is some team contact heavy? Is a team constructed to an era or park? What does it look like? What does it look like compared to your build? Compare your team to your opponent or any team in your league/ tourney.. possibly with something super basic/rudimentary of static/fixed ratings from the cards like totaling ratings... to see how teams stack on surface level I guess the key is finding what info is simple and relevant for PT (and base game?) and how to present it. Probably just start with static/fixed info from a build/pt universe (not stats/power ranking etc from an active league/tourney).. just something basic to start for a)quick build snapshot b) basic build compare. Reference: 2015 suggestion from another user https://forums.ootpdevelopments.com/showthread.php?t=259625 ----------------------------------------- Screen shots attached showing simple stuff just totaling ratings and doesn't provide a full picture under the hood.... but do any of us think there would be value in a basic static team compare? Also could be useful for those new to OOTP helping to look beyond overalls', something uber basic like this might help new players recognize the differences with the individual ratings over a whole constructed team and consider how it plays in a certain era, a certain park, etc etc. From the screenshots you can see one team went more control the other went hit and hr suppression... One team has better catching/framing. One team has more vL coverage and spent a little more cap points on pitchers. Who wins!???!!! There could be sections either tabbed or scrolled page capability. |
