Position Modifiers - Range
Hello, all!
Anyone has any experience what results one can expect from change the Range for the Position Modifiers (Leauge Settings - Stats and AI)? I (kind of) understand the idea of it. 1.000 is modern default. 1.100 means that players have MORE range (thus more defensive plays, I assume). 0.900 means more balls in play become hits. But, my GOAL is to make defense LESS important. Make it so a 70 Range SS is more valuable (but not SO MUCH MORE VALUABLE) than a 60 range SS, for example. Should I make the range modifier HIGHER? So that the 60 range SS can get to more balls. Or should I make the range modifier LOWER, so that both SS get to fewer balls, and thus the difference is defensive value is lower? Both outcomes seem to make sense to me.... Any ideas or experience dealing with these modifiers? |
