Crash when trading after certain date
Hello,
I am playing Out of the Park Baseball 26
Version 26.8 Build 82 (64 Bit) Steam Edition (Windows)
I am playing on a Lenovo Thinkpad T570 running Windows 10
I have played 25 seasons in my current save but recently ran into a strange bug I've never encountered. In the current season, whenever the Amateur International Free Agent signing period begins, entering the "Initiate Trade" screen freezes the game. I can enter the League Transaction menu, and I can select "Initiate Trade," but whenever I select a team to trade with, the game immediately becomes unresponsive. I've tried waiting as long as 30 minutes to see if it ever caught up, but no dice. The only way is to force-quit via task manager. Everything else in the game works as expected. Additionally, the trading feature functions properly up until the day before the IFA period begins. I've tried the following:
- Restart my PC
- Uninstall the game from my PC and reinstall (via Steam).
- Create a backup of the game and restore from that point (unfortunately, I did not have a recent backup from before I noticed this error).
- Change the date of the IFA period to the following month.
- Change the date of the IFA period to a date prior to the current sim date.
- Sim one month past the IFA period start date.
- Simming into the IFA period while having a trade dialog already opened
- Attempt to make a trade by right-clicking a player and choosing the "Trade for Player" option.
None of these options had any effect on the error.
I have absolutely no idea what caused this issue and I am at a loss for what to do next. Please help! I've attached screenshots to help. I can say that it is
not due to CPU usage or memory spiking suddenly or overloading system capabilities.
