cant manage all team for a historical exhibition?

when I start a series with say 16 teams or even 4 why can I only manage one team?

Nothing I see to control ALL teams with exhibition series.

Is this just the way it is?

See if the pregame screen has the same option that non-exhibitions do, where you can tell the the game to not sim games in the background so you can get to them as well.

i have never been able to control more than one team at a time. You have to do some hokey take control of manager routine.
Makes it very hard to do what if sims, and just play around.

There is nothing hokey about what the OP asked or how to enable it in an exhibition. Just go to the play game screen, righthand side where all the options are, go to the bottom of those options and don't simulate the world in the background (it defaults to Yes, turn it to No).

After you finish managing this game, proceed to the next game. It won't have played even if it was to start at the same time on the same date.
