I can't transfer saved files from FHM 11 to FHM12

I saved my FHM game on July 1. Went to >settings >troubleshooting >open customizable data folder >saved games then I copy the .lg saved folder that I want. I go back to FHM 12 and follow the same path and paste the .lg folder into "saved games" on FHM 12. When I hit "load game" in FHM 12 I get "invalid database version".

I can't figure out how to do this so that I can continue from my FHM 11 saved league.

When I go back to FHM 11 and hit load game and choose the file-- no problem at all.

Could anyone help?? Thanks

Are you using the "Import FHM11 Save" button (bottom-right of the FHM12 start screen)? You need to do that to convert it to FHM12 before loading it.

Hi Jeff, ok so "importing FHM 11" worked BUT as soon as I "save" or "save as" FHM quits unexpectedly. Everything was there and working fine. I didn't try advancing off of July 1 before saving. Maybe I need to get off of July 1 before saving??

That shouldn't make a difference, it should save normally on July 1. Could you upload the FHM11 version of the save? I'll see if the same thing happens to me after I convert it.

Absolutely, how do I upload and get it over to you? BTW-- I tried advancing off of July 1 and it crashed.

Thanks Tom. Jeff, I created a zip file. I just need to know how to specifically get it over to you. BTW-- I noticed that it seems to crash as it's "saving retired players". Please note that I'm like in year 2140 in FHM 11 with many many many years under my belt. I'm kind of curious if the quantity of retired players is what is causing issues!!!

You can upload it to them using the FTP instructions in the link I shared, alternatively you can upload it to a file sharing platform of your choice. Most people use Google Drive or Dropbox etc and then you can post the link here for Jeff to download the file.
