Realized Losses and Gains
Does anyone know how the realized gains and losses change? [\(See Pic\)](https://imgur.com/a/6zzTY0r) Can they change by development program? This player has a pitching coach that is also outstanding dev/teaching pitching, why are there losses? I even toyed around and maxed out the players IQ/Work Ethic, and the coach's favorable for prospects stats and it still doesnt change. Do I need thme in the excellent working relationship category?

Additionally, how do you or what changes the fair/good relationships each player has? I hired a new PC that have excellent relationships but the screen below my screenshot says fair?

So both of your questions aren't super simple or short to answer effectively (Well, for a real baseball noob like me anyway )The game like in real life doesn't give you easily quantifiable answers. In fact it can give you lots of ambiguous signals and you need to use a raft of measures to then inform your decision. There are some threads on Redit that go into Development sliders and realised efforts/ I take them as one cue in terms of what is happening development wise. Just because one category is showing minimal losses for a couple of cycles, doesn't necessarily mean cause for alarm. I cross reference with stats, scout reports, growth signals in ratings, stage of a players career.. and then make tweaks to sliders based on that. I don't min-max sliders but rather I try to align it to a strategy.. based on again what I'm seeing in a bunch of indicators. I created another thread here 'Bridging the Gap: Learning to Love OOTP When You Don’t Speak Fluent Basebal' in it I attached some stuff I've been working on and refining with Chat GPT to help me with things just like this. There are some material in there on development and sliders you might find useful. |
