2 sorta quick depending on how well u know the game questoins

1) In my fictional league after I finish with year 1 can I delete the "rookie" records

2) in a test sim I ended up with the all-star team having no players on either side, how can I fix this since I cant proceed.

I think that if you go to the record books, you can just put blanks in for name, category, team and year. I have not tested it out before, so I am not sure if it would work, but I do not see why it would not.

Yeah, that was my first idea, but like you, I haven't tried it, so that's why I said "not sure." But I think that should work, too.

Everytime someone asks a question ref the All Star game, thread #26085 gets referenced. Reading this thread raises (for me) more questions. I'm in the first year of a career season (this is my first experience with OOTP). I'm nearing the All Star game. What's going to happen? Do I have to do anything? I'm not using any of those roster sets mentioned in thread #26085. Thanks.

I have never had the problem of the "all-star rosters being empty", but I have not used the Total Minors rosters, as far as I know that was only a problem with that set and with early versions only.

Sounds good to me, Steve. Thanks. I read through the forum, and get lots of help; but I was concerned with all the mention of problems relating to the All Star game. Actually, I've had very few problems with my copy of the game, and am enjoying it very much. Of course, I ask a lot of "dumb" questions also

I use the Total Minors... and I have never had a problem with all star games or having no players selected to the all-star team..

People may differ on this but I believe that there is no dumb questions if you don't know the answer.

I have had some problems with deleting the rookie batting average record. Sometimes, when I do it, it never gets reset to a new record. I'm really not sure why. Here's an example:

Let's say it's my league's first year and player A hits .372 to set the record. I don't want that to be the rookie record because everyone in the league was a rookie that year, so it's meaningless. I change the rookie record to .000. The next year, a rookie hits .300. When I proceed to the year after that, the .300 average should become the new rookie record. Sometimes it does. Sometimes it stays at .000 forever. I've also tried setting the rookie record to .200 and .300, but the same problems occur. The strange thing is that this doesn't always happen.

Other rookie records aren't affected in this way.

tcblcomissh, that has always been my philosophy, also...no such thing as a "dumb" question. I had my tongue firmly planted in cheek (as is par for for my course) when I said that.

There is a certain time when you have to clear the % records or it will screw up. I asked the question awhile ago but I forget the correct answer...but I think it is...don't do it at the end of the season but wait until the beginning of year 2.

That's right, and that's what I did, but I still have the problem.

Same here, I didn't notice until about year 23 (fast sim for history), then I blanked the rookies. After a further few years, only some have been updated - rookie HR is still at 5 or something stupid.

It worked fine for me but I didn't put .000 I would just erase it completely.

You're sure rookies are getting enough at bats to qualify I assume?

Mine are. I've been through this so many times, and I can't figure out why there seems to be no consistency to it. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.

Is it only in v5 or did it happen in v4? I haven't tried it in v5 yet

I wonder if its a bug with resetting it or even if we already have a rookie record there if it won't be broken?

Like the LBA we cleared it in version 4 and now there are normal rookie records there. When we switch to version 5 will it never be broken?
