Rule 5 draft

Is there a way to change the Rule 5 draft? IE number of years to be eligible.

Work-around options if you want to simulate longer or shorter eligibility

Delay protection manually

You can just hold guys off the 40-man until later and ignore the Rule 5 draft by disabling it entirely for a year or two (League Settings → Rules → uncheck Enable Rule 5 Draft).

Then re-enable it when you want it to return.

Manual timing edits

In Commissioner Mode, you can edit players’ service time or “pro years” to change who appears as eligible in that offseason. That’s tedious but works for small experiments.

I wish there was some configuration to why so many MLB players with MLB service time who the AI takes off the 40 man are in the Rule 5 Draft. It is only for those with no MLB service time.
