Export Template for Existing League

I want to start from scratch (dial back the year) with my existing league- but when I create a template- it seems that it still includes all existing players and coaches. Is there not a way to save a template without players and coaches? I have several leagues, so it's a real pain to go into each and release coaches.

Only if you save the template when you first setup the league before creating the game.

Once it generates player/coaches if you save as template it will include them.

Actually, I think the game now generates the players immediately, as soon as you add a league in the game creation page. Even before hitting the "create game" button, you already get all the players loaded.

This kind of sucks because it is impossible to create a useful template without players.

Happy to be told I'm wrong on this, but I tried creating a template earlier in the OOTP 26 cycle and ran into this problem.

No, still functions the same as it has. Even just double checked and got different players/coaches when I loaded a template saved before creating the game.

So not sure what happened on your end.
