Bobfather All Star Starter Join Date: Jun 2016 Location: Boston Ma. Posts: 1,871	Budget Question I am starting a new save. I started with the Red Sox in the 2025 offseason. I made a splash in Free Agency, signing Soto and Fried. When I try to make a trade, I'm unable because I am over budget. Makes sense. But there is no limit when signing free agents. For example, I can't trade for a guy making $8,000,000, but I can sign a guy for $10,000,000. What is the reasoning behind this? __________________ I play out every game—one pitch mode.
