Unable to trade draft picks

I have trading draft picks enabled, but when I try to trade them after the draft pool has been announced, I get a "Trade Deadline has passed" message. What dates do I need to have set in order for to make the trades? I for the first 30+ seasons I used the default trade with no problem. Once 1903 rolled around I could no longer trade draft picks. I tried setting the deadline to after the draft, and still could not trade picks. Suggestions?

I would temporarily set both the draft date and draft pool well into the future. If that helps then walk it back.
