PT Roster movement issue - Variants

I obtained a variant version of a card that was on my active roster, but when I moved the card off active to reserve to replace with the variant card, it set both versions of the card to the 14 day hold. Is that intentional or a bug? Technically same player, but different card.

Yeah, that is not a bug. It's to prevent people from substituting fatigued players for free. But we do know that's not optimal.
