Can't promote to majors

I demoted a player recently to AAA because he was hitting .089. Now he is tearing it up in AAA, hitting .389 with power, and I want to bring him back but all I see under Transactions is waive/dfa, demote to a lower classification, etc. He has a major league contract. I have never run into this before, so is there some kind of "workaround" to get him back?

Disregard. Stupid mistake; had to clear a roster spot, which I had failed to do.

I got stumped by that years ago on a much earlier version of the game. There really ought to be a message that says "roster is full" or something.
