What is going on!?

I have played this game endlessly for years...never have I had players just appear on my 40 man. I've also had my lineups changed without provocation. I have all settings to have GM/MGR to me, but I've had lineups changed and guys added to the 40-man roster. What has changed!?

See if you are either "Acting as" or are really holding those jobs. The other common cause is, in the Manager's Office, the "Do not disturb" toggle is on.

No, it’s an issue as I’ve experienced the same thing and it’s extremely annoying and nearly makes it unplayable especially if players are added to the 40 man without your blessing. I haven’t had that be an issue but it’s consistently changing my entire pitching staff, my lineups, and depth charts.

Is your owner particularly meddling? That (though that is usually signing some random guy) and the two previously mentioned items (plus the obvious ones in the Manager's Office) are the only things I can think of.

Are you referring to the game now making sure you have 25 man rosters throughout the minors and dfa'ing guys to achieve that even if you have minor league signing/release controlled by human? I see that now since '26.

I have my Minor League Rosters set to have my assistant GM handle promotions/demotions, etc...
Played that way for 10+ years. Now in the last week, the AI does nothing with my Minor League Rosters....aggravating.
I have double checked all of my settings, loaded multiple saved games, hired different GM's and nothing...

I'm having a similar issue. I am playing in cannot be fired mode and have full control of everything. My lineups, depth charts, and pitching rotation sometimes change randomly throughout the year. Is this a bug?

It has to be, I’ve never had that issue and this year as you stated it just randomly changes my staff, lineup, and depth charts.
