live update failed

Hi: I'm using the latest patch, I can't get live update to work (trying to begin on opening day). I have deleted the live update folder data in game settings as instructed. I have not gone "trace mode" because I don't know what that is!! any suggestions?

verified i'm on the latest version and tried again, still didn't work. I now have trace mode enabled, but I thoght i'd ask again first.

If you have trace mode enabled, can you try running a live update again and then post the resulting trace file here? That should give us more data on why the live update is failing.

Offhand, one thing that occurs to me is to wonder if you may have changed the game's data path at some point, and so the folders are not correctly matching up now?

tried it again in trace mode, and it worked. started opening day. but, what I really want to do is start with an inaugural draft, and I guess i can't do that with live update, since i can't start in pre-season. i'll keep noodling. thanks!
