What sways the direction for either of these. Is it games played in that season?

Also V26...I don't see the PC put anyone other than the player I am trying to trade in the multi-player option.
In V25 it would add another of my players in a trade attempt.
Any others seeing this?

The first question you have is driven by service time, so it would be days spent on the mlb team. If they accumulate the number of days required to to reach an additional service year, they will be a free agent. If they don’t, they will go through arbitration again.

When you shop s player there is an option to allow ai to add more players. Default is off.

I passed my deadline, but it is in the same section where you drag the player to the shop. You have to choose a package of players, not 1 for 1. Hope that helps.
