First time buyer but a fan. I think main reason I bought this game was to experience the development of players through personality and coaching. With this type of system coaches play a big role?
First season, just starting out my new franchise. However, I noticed coaches available were slim. The ones that did exist, well you would not hire cause their stats were terrible. Is there a shortage of coaches in baseball, Major/Minor Leagues? Anyways, I created new coaches through retired players, they all became bench coaches, 2000 seemed to be extreme but okay. Also, I created some through the fictional coaches option.
After my third season, some of my coaches have decided to retire. I go to available personnel, maybe 15 coaches in total available. 3 years before, I had over 2000. All those coaches retired? That does not make any sense but ok, back to creating? Went to fiction coach creation, could not get it to work. Yes, I know how to turn commissioner mode on, can not do it without. Then I went to retired players, same thing, could not get new coaches created. I got this to work prior to season 1 but not after season 3.
Bug? Not sure what to do, did not expect this type of problem? I am gonna play one more season to see if things improve. Appreciate any feedback from the professionals here. If this is a problem; hopefully, someone will inform devs.

Apparently, I had a customized filter on. It works just fine now.
