Who wins the Stanley Cup in your first season save?

Just to gague how the game follows real-life, if at all. Who won the Stanley Cup in 2025 in your save?

For me it was LA over Ottawa in 6 games - I was playing as the Sens

Ottawa won the Presidents' Trophy.

Have since started a rebuild save with the Penguins, so will update once I've played through the cup. But given that Pittsburgh are currently playing Buffalo in the first round and Nashville won the Presidents' Trophy it's fair to say that might not be so accurate

To update on this, Nashville beat Philadelphia in my current save - so it seems you can't read very much into real-life from this game!

You can't base it off real life because even real-life NHL is pretty unpredictable. I remember when Vegas joined the league, and nobody picked them to make the playoffs let alone to the Stanley Cup Finals. How about Seattle when they made it to the playoffs and upset Colorado in the first round. Upsets happen a lot in real life and in video games as well.
