Unhappy: Icetime

Coaching in juniors, some of my players become unhappy because of icetime. These players lead my team in icetime, and they only became unhappy after being called away to international or all-star teams and not playing their club minutes with the call-up team... yet they remained unhappy upon return to my team. Is this a glitch from the call-up affecting the club team, or are they genuinely unhappy with leading the team in minutes? (Or are they unhappy about the call-up minutes, in which case, can the reasons be made clearer in-game?)

On a related note, would it be possible in future versions to be allowed to call up players to replace those on international duty? Perhaps some sort of "club inactive-tournament" status or list. Junior teams (and probably others that continue their seasons through international call-ups) can be decimated and left unable to call up replacements, which seems unrealistic. (Sending the international call-ups to a farm team so I can call up replacements makes the stars unhappy, even though they would never actually report to the farm team.) In a similar vein, it would be great to have international management with international-specific scouting/ratings and staff, the ability to check the player pools throughout the year (not just the day of the first game), etc. More realistic, and more like the (in-game) club experience.
