CSV Statistics - Cannot create file

I've been using the write to CSV option for creating my tourney statistic dumps. On three of the fourteen tourney's I did this with, I got an error creating the file. Had to resort to using Write to Disk for the ones with errors. Not sure if it was a memory issue, but in once case file #1 created fine with csv, then I did file #2 and it got the error. I went back to file #1 and tried to do the csv again, and this time it got the error as well. Would be nice to get the error resolved so that Write to CSV can be used on all exports. Thanks!!!

Tip for anyone that uses the Write To CSV option... Don't mix Write to CSV with Write to Disk exports in your spreadsheet. All commas are removed from fields (rather than having quotes put around them and retaining the commas inside the quotes). So a field like "Title" will have commas removed compared to Write To Disk. For example...

NL West Live 1 - Hardware Heroes, CF Steve Finley, SD, 1996
(using Write To Disk)

will be this when Write to CSV...
NL West Live 1 - Hardware Heroes CF Steve Finley SD 1996

All commas are replace with a space. If you have a pivot table that is using the title field as part of the pivot (for subtotaling purposes), you'll get two lines for the player if your exports are a mix of the two methods. Stick with one method.

I’m sorry that I don’t have an answer for you, but your question is close to mine and I think you can help me. I would like to write my batters stats and pitchers stats to a file and save them. I have not been able to figure that out in OOTP 26. Could you take a couple of minutes and tell me how you are able to do that? Thank you for your help!

Sure thing. Click on League (or Tournament if in a tourney) at the top and select Statistics from the drop down. There is a bar right above the leader boards that says Sortable Stats, select that. From there, you'll be able to click on the Report button, and select the type of file. Write to Disk will open your page in a web browser. You can click Ctrl-A to highlight everything on the web page, then click Ctrl-C to copy it. Open up a spreadsheet and click on a cell and hit Ctrl-V to paste it in.

In order to get the exact stats you want, you'll need to modify one of your views (such as Batter Stats) and add or remove the fields that you want to be in your final output. Once you set that up, save it as one of your templates so you'll always have it to use each time you're ready.
