Sharks draft picks

This may seem like a minor issue, but it does affect realism.

Sharks fan here who bought the game recently and I got through a whole season with a tank mindset and noticed that when I got to the end I was not rewarded with a high draft pick. Looked into it and apparently the round 1 selection that Sharks sent in the Askarov deal was the Vegas pick IRL but the game has it as the Sharks own pick.

Do I just suck it up and change strategies or is there magically something that can be done about it?

You could go into Commissioner Mode and trade the picks around how you want.
