NEW UPDATE: OOTP 26 Public Beta Patch: 26.1.45

Apologies for the build yesterday having big in-game issues. We believe we have traced back the issues related to that, and have corrected them. We hope this will also correct the random crashes that people experienced before (albeit much rarer than build 44).

The new version is 26.1.45. We hope to release this as soon as we are confident is it stable.

Use this at your own risk! Please back up important league files before loading them in this beta.

• Fixed incorrect park loading in historical setup with modded parks installed
• Fixed crash adding tournament to game
• Fixed online league export mismatch
• PT: Fixed my orders page refresh
• PT: Fixed some card shop refresh cases

• Updated player ratings for default game
• Fixed challenge mode not activating on new standard games
• Fixed drafted player selection popup stuck when draft finishes. Updated some draft popup notices
• Adjusted player development and aging
  ** Aims to balance for players to age more gracefully
  ** Does apply to games in progress - please note if you did manually adjust dev/aging settings for changes
• Adjusted errors modifier on import (need to re-import to apply)
• Adjusted scouting of draft eligible players with combine disabled
• Updated default scouting in new standard games with higher accuracy
• Disabled UI confetti until further notice (fixes crashes on draft screen, when buying PT,etc)
  ** We will debug some more issues with it, and hope to re-enable in the near future
• Fixed compare player mismatch ratings
• Fixed teams hoarding reserve roster players when no minors
• Fixed Korean language translation token issues
• 60-day injured list button hidden on popup when adding players who are not injured long
• Fixed some live start roster handling
• Updated 2024 historical lineups
• Fixed Eastern League schedule
• PT: added auction sort by end time
• PT: fixed card shop crashes
• PT: Updated some roster builder refresh issues, not noting when no changes apply
• PT: Fixed card shop refresh button, and refresh after buy orders
• PT: Fixed sort by overall not working
• Misc UI, text, isolated incidents, crash reports, etc
• Many other crash, stability, etc... improvement

Important info for online leagues: We fixed an error with exports. The commissioner will need to update to be able to process the imports, if you were previously receiving a 999 error


How to access the beta on Steam:

• Quit OOTP 26 if it's running.
• Open Steam client -> Library
• Right click on Out of the Park Baseball 26
• Click on "Properties" at the bottom of the menu
• Click on the beta tab. Here, enter the following code: ootp26betapt
• Click on "Check code"
• Open the beta pull-down and select "publicbeta".
• Close the Steam client (Steam menu -> Exit)
• Open the client again. It should then download the beta build.

Update Info for our webstore customers: To apply the update, simply download the setup file and install it over your current installation. There is no need to uninstall or unlicense your current copy! However, you should quit the game before installing it, of course. Updates always contain all the changes from previous updates. Saved games are compatible between different versions.

Here's a PC installer (Fastspring) that installs into a single folder, which is useful for external HDs for example. Or for creating a second test install of the game, so you can try the patch out without the risk of messing up your main install of the game if something is wrong in the patch:

What does "Fixed online league export mismatch" address and was this possibly a legacy issue from 25?

I ask because if it addresses the ootp25 contract bugs at all, I can see upgrading online leagues ASAP.

The direct fix here is for one of the new updates to 26 in how we handle requested scouting reports.

The contract bug we believe should be mostly resolved in 26. If it's not, people should report and we can investigate the specific scenario.

Thanks. Are you suggesting you did additional work on this as part of the OOTP26 development cycle or are you referring to the late 25 patches? Those late 25 patches didn't quite get all the way there at addressing these bugs. Either way, I will report, as advised.

I have question about the post season 2024-25 game there were a number of errors
on the team rosters: no Juan Soto, Austin Wells listed as a 1B, etc.
I now notice that there is no 2024-25 options. Just curious if any of the updates dealt
with these issues. Apologies for for taking up your time when you extremely busy.

Soto is a free agent in the offseason rosters. Something like Wells listed at 1B is really just an AI thing, not really an 'error' per say.

We're not really focusing on adjusting anything in the offseason start at the moment anyway, we're much more focused on the 2025 Opening Day rosters, at least for the moment.

We are on the latest patch and about half the contracts I give out get rejected for some form of a previous offer I sent them. I’d really hope you’re able to fix this. My whole online league is experiencing this and it seems like basically no change since you guys “fixed” it.

First off, I appreciate the hard work the devs are doing. Small issue but I was wondering if we could get an edit to Carlos Mendoza's record as a manager to include his 2024 stats. I don't know if there's issues for other managers but he was the one I noticed.

I would have thought these should have been in, but maybe something was off with the import. I'll make a note to check on this for him and any other managers.

Game crashed again today with the new patch. Happens when I click finish today. Not every time, but that's when it will happen. Frustrating. Never had this issue happen so many times before.

Sounds like this may be a league specific issue.

If you can upload the league files where this is happening to Google Drive/Dropbox and post a link in the bug reports forums we can take a look at why it might be happening.

I had ChatGPT look at the crash report I got (I'm on a Mac) and it told me the crashes might be because Rosetta 2 wasn't running. I have it installed now and so far so good. What league files would you need me to upload?

Unfortunately, the in-game face gen issue has not gone away. Everyone's face is Reggie Jackson or 2 other face gens. Seems to be correct until after the first inning and then all face gens are incorrect.
