And? It's still Tuesday morning on the east coast through Hawaii and Tuesday afternoon in Europe. Just because Guam's past the international date line doesn't mean we have to be on their schedule. Not sure if you're joking or what, but since you posted this in two different spots...

Please be patient. The game is coming.

Yes I’m joking. Was stationed there years ago and constantly reminded that America’s day started there.
Once took off from Guam at 9:15 AM Saturday morning. Flew 15 hours nonstop to Dyess AFB, Texas and it was 9:15 AM Saturday morning when we landed. Felt like I went through the twilight zone.

Sarcasm is hard to read on message boards, sadly. Enjoy the release

I was there for 6 weeks in 1998 and loved it. I was opening a TGI Fridays of all things. I remember flying from there to NJ. We left Guam at 8AM on a Monday and got to Hawaii at 6PM Sunday. Freaked my the F out.

So, were you technically flying at 0 mph?

In a sense, yes.
I was a navigator then and remember getting out of the plane, looking at the sun in the east and thinking it hadn’t moved an inch in 15 hours. My internal clock was telling me it should me midnight.

I carry my own sarcasm detector. When I think 'you must be joking' then I know it's sarcasm, until informed otherwise. Works every time.

Well, no technically they were flying 0 hpm.

Otherwise, they might have flown at light speed which would have set them down within the same minute as take-off.
