How does FHM simulate player experience?
In real life teams will often go looking for veteran players when on a championship run - their experience is seen as useful for big games.
FHM favors youth in how the player attributes develop, which I like - because players do actually physically peak around the age of 23-26 as it does in FHM.
I know there all all sorts of hidden stats and attributes that players have. But how and how much do these change with time, and does experience improve some of these?
When negotiating a contract, players around 30 years of age will still command top dollar despite the fact that they are already some way in decline physically. Does FHM factor in player experience or other mental attributes that might grow with age, and could make it actually worth it to sign some of these older players?
Also, often a young player will only reach his peak production on his third NHL season even if there is little change in his visible attributes. This seems to have some sort of an 'experience effect', right?
