Game showing wrong version of team logo
Starting a standard game in NHL with current rosters.
One or two NHL teams will display an older version of their logo instead of the current one. I'm using the FHM Forum Graphics Pack from Steam. First time Montreal and Ottawa were using vintage logos instead of current ones. I then uninstalled the entire game and deleted all the mod folders - then reinstalled the game and manually reinstalled the graphics pack. I also restarted the computer. And this time it's Vancouver that's showing a vintage logo. The issue persist after restarting the game, also after restarting Steam and the whole PC. Now that Vancouver is showing the wrong logo this also persists on loading a saved game and also when starting a new game again. (Which is interesting since these two options use a different copy of the graphics folder). I have combed through the "logo_teams" folder and the logo files all seem to have correct format and correct naming. It's as if the game randomly picks a logo that has a year in the file name even when a version of no year mentioned exists. And the logo with a year in its name sure does not match with the in-game year. edit. OK so I go and delete the 1964 version of 'Vancouver Canucks' logo from the savegame folder - the one the game was showing instead of the current one. Now the game switches the logo to the 1948 version. Weird... All the other teams seem to be using a current logo, even though the naming structure of the team logos are just like on the Vancouver ones. edit. By deleting all the older variants of the logos I am naturally able to fix the issue. But there is something funny with how the non-historical game handles historical logos. If those need to be kept away from the 'current game' folders, it should be known. After reviewing the situation again, I can see that I had added the vintage logos to other NHL team graphics databases too along with installing just the mentioned Steam graphics pack. This is why the issue was happening only with Vancouver after reinstalling the mod. Bottom line is that on the Standard game, the game does not tolerate having year-specific logo files in the graphics folder. If this is as intended, then it should be mentioned in the modding guide, since the easiest way one can make sure to have all logos that the game might need, is to copy all team logos to all 'logo_team' folders whether they be current-day or historical, rather than fine tune each folder to only include the logos that with the era being played.
