OOTP 26 Pre-Order Compatible With Steam?

If I pre-order OOTP 26 directly from OOTP, will it be compatible with Steam or launch from Steam? My family gets me gift cards on Steam, I've been saving up...I like the idea of the special card packs ordering direct from OOTP, but concerned my saved up gift cards on Steam will be useless for use to buy PP.

No, wait for it to be released on Steam. The direct order from OOTP is often called the "Fast Spring" version on the forum and it is stand-alone and not part of the Steam ecosystem.

Use the cards on the game purchase. I say that only b/c I don't know the compatibility of PP purchases and a Steam store card, so I agree they it is a risk assuming it works.

As it says on the pre-order page on the OOTP website, the pre-order is NOT for a Steam Code. You can wishlist the game on Steam, but that is not the same as a pre-order.

I play OOTP25 using the Steam Deck. You just need to enable a certain mode on the steam deck that allows some titles to work. It works fine and I can subscribe to and use the workshop mods too.

I've tried it too. Its pretty small on the integrated screen, but the functionality is there
