color blind fixes

Can we please, please, please, for the love of being able to hire coaches properly, consider color blind people!? Red & green to differentiate the coach allowances if EXTREMELY annoying. Myriad of color combinations that wouldn't affect color blindness, but we continue to use red/green. Why not, yellow, red & blue? Yellow, green & white or purple, black, gray...
Can't hire coaches without hoping someone is around to ask or just take a shot that I guessed correctly.

This should be an extremely fixable issue. PLEASE!

OOTP 26 already time flies! exciting times! can't wait for the new changes I saw on the Will Beh youtube with the Dr. lets goooo!!

I will not be buying 26. Why would I when I can't play 25? I downloaded the patch, I have an Nvidia card, and the game still crashes. But that is just one more of a list of problems I've had with 25. I don't expect an answer to my complaint because very rarely have I ever gotten one.

This game has gone off the rails in a lot of ways. Stop with the cosmetic crap and fix the game. For the past few years all you guys have done is put make up on the product and you expect people to just keep shelling out the money. But since people do keep buying it, why change right?

Is there any change to the ratings system (like there was with OOTP25) or anything else under the hood that might cause issues/things to consider when importing a save from 25 to 26?

Certainly nothing as significant as last year's update. There are some adjustments, notably we have changed some of how we are handling some splits values for players, so on import some ratings might change around compared to 25. We will have a few items mentioned to look out for, and will monitor them to make sure they are coming in reasonably.

We get it, you're frustrated because the game doesn't work for you. Whether it's your computer, settings, or whatever else may be causing your issue, the way it looks is you are an "army of one". And yes, that is a position that is not fun to be in.

I've had it crash many times for me. Now I run it as administrator and it crashes much less I also SAVE GAME after every game.

I had the game crash for me in v23 IIRC. I had a brand new computer and OOTP was the only game that crashed it. I would be playing out a game and the sound would suddenly cut out and within about 3 seconds the computer would crash to a cold reboot. I posted in the tech forum describing the problem and asking for ideas.

Matt and the team asked for details and the crash log from the game. Their feeling was it was an issue with my computer and not OOTP, despite the fact that OOTP was the only app that caused the crash. Even though they thought it was my rig and not OOTP they offered many things to try to help me out. They even gave me a Steam code to try when I questioned if it might be something with how my computer interacted with the Fast Spring version. I'm pretty sure they knew this would do nothing for me, but did it anyway.

Remember I said OOTP was the only app that crashed my new computer? Well that was true until it wasn't. After about 8 weeks of OOTP being the only app that caused a crash a different app, that I had run many times, did it too.
It wasn't OOTP, it was the computer. Matt and the team were right all along, it wasn't OOTP, and yet they had still tried to help.

The end story is I had to send in the computer three times to the manufacturer before they gave up trying find the cause let alone fix it. Hell, they couldn't even get it to crash. After those three times they sent me a new computer. No crashes of any kind from that point on.

The reason it matters you are an army of one is because you choose to be an army of one. It doesn't matter if you have a $4,000 super rig or a $400 economy rig, the game doesn't run on your system. Simple as that. You've turned down many offers to try to help and instead went with the "woe is me" tactic. That's on you. With that in mind I see no reason to care.

Good story. It doesn't apply to me. As I have said, I have had several problems with 25. I have ignored most of them. This nvidia problem crashes the game. It has never happened before. Ever. It's not a "computer" problem.

I'm not going to spend my time on an issue the developers should get ahead of. Besides 26 is days away. I will wait and see the reviews but the videos I've seen so far it doesn't look promising. I am not going to keep spending my money, I have purchased several versions, on the same game every year. I could not care less about the cosmetic changes they make.

Not to highjack but obviously the reasonable conclusion to your tale is you had two pieces of software potentially causing the bluescreen, not one as originally assumed. Which does not therefore conclude _neither_ were responsible! It suggests they may _both_ be responsible, especially when techs couldn't replicate. Re being an "army of one" - on this particular thread but c'mon - the threads have been buzzing for years about similar things, and from folks with more buy-in, time and experience-wise, than you. Go through the threads and find many old-timers announcing they've had enough. For me, OOTP25 has been the best performer so far of them all but then I haven't had the nvidia issue and through many years of experience I've learned how to solve chronic, in-game issues. I also bought 25 earlier this year (hint, hint). And I've learned not to download an update unless it addresses something specific I'm experiencing. But still, all in all, I keep coming back because it really is that good when everything is working.

And yet the developers that just "put makeup on the product" took the time to help. That my friend is a way bigger part of the picture than my pc. I allowed myself to be helped. The main point of the story is he claims the developer doesn't care, while the counter is they care enough to help those that will be helped.

Re Re "army of one". We have no idea what others have had happen compared to him, because we don't know what issues he has had. We can only go by what he gives us. Being that is nothing I'll be happily moving on and playing my game that does work.


They did send me the exact same computer. Brand, model, configuration, OS etc. The identical replacement computer has never crashed with either of those apps, nor any apps in three to four years. I'll take that as "good enough for me". Feel free to disagree.

Don't misrepresent what I said. I said I have had several problems with 25 and I ignored them for the most part. I then made the point that since the latest upgrade for the Nvidia card my game crashes and is unplayable. I then said, in my opinion, the developers should be on top of the issue and offer a fix that does more than fix one issue for the Nvidia card.

I never said or indicated that the developers don't care. Get it right. What if 26 has issues with the nvidia card?

I suggest just try to understand where people are coming from who are disappointed: people express disappointment because THEY WANT THE GAME TO WORK. See complaints as an endorsement of the product. Obviously when people complain they will sound perturbed, negative even accusational. BECAUSE THEY WANT THE GAME TO WORK. How about you? Ever have an issue with your car or basement or tax return? When you complain are you always fair and level-headed and eager to see everyone's side? Assuming you are married how are you when you and the Missus argue? You're always fair minded, always eager to see her side, never ever exaggerate or even, you know, sound negative?
