Notable New Players and duplicate jersey numbers

A couple of minor issues I've noticed in FHM 11

- In an Historical Game, at the beginning of a new season under Historical Notes all of the players in the league are listed as "Notable New Players."

- While the game engine requires me as GM to ensure every player on my roster has a unique number, it doesn't require this of the other teams in the league - there are multiple instances of duplicate jersey numbers on other teams.

I don't recall either of these happening FHM 10.

Which year are you seeing that happen in Historical Notes? I checked a few and have only got the most recent group of new players.

For the second one, was that in a multiplayer game? We just changed something that may have fixed that. If not, please upload the save, I'm not seeing any duplicated numbers in the long-term saves I've looked through.

I uploaded three save files

Bruins 69-70 and Wings 54-55 list all players in the League as Notable New Players

Wings 53-54 Nov 8 - all teams in the league other than mine (Wings) have multiple duplicate jersey numbers.

Looks like all the duplicated numbers involve players who were traded, might be something going wrong with the step that clears the numbers after a trade. We'll have a look. Have you made any trades via the force trade option in commissioner mode?

I'm only seeing 7 players on the Notable New Players list when I advance the Wings game to 1955, though. I see some players who shouldn't be there in the 54 message, but definitely not all the players in the league. There were literally hundreds of players on your list?

The only forced trade I made with the Wings 53-54 game was for Sid Abel to correct the player conflict issue that I reported in another thread. I manually assigned him to Detroit on the Player Edit page and then forced a trade back to Montreal to clear the conflicts with other Red Wings.

The Notable New Players works fine when moving from season to season. However, in creating a new historical game all of the players in the league are listed as Notable New Players. See the Wings 54-55 and Bruins 69-70 save files that I uploaded.

Yeah, can't be forced trades that's doing it then, since there were so many.

I tried new 54-55/Detroit 69-70/Bruins starts, and got the normal new players list both times. Not sure what might've happened there, but it seems to be OK now.
