This new, immersive streaming program will archive the new bimonthly broadcast for the Legacy Baseball League.

In this format, I'll be streaming games in-character from across the Legacy Baseball League, our historical fiction/writing league currently in the 1916 season.

What is the Legacy Baseball League?

The LBL is a historical/fiction, immersive writing league founded in 2019. Currently in the 1916 season, the LBL relives the glory and drama of American baseball. We are always looking for passionate and creative new GMs to add to the lore of our shared baseball world.

What is WLBL Broadcasting?

"WLBL" is our name for our fictional baseball broadcasting station, defined by the fictional broadcasting personality, "Sparky" Parker.

Radio, or “wireless telegraphy,” has captivated minds since the late 19th century, when Guglielmo Marconi first demonstrated its potential for long-distance communication. Over the past two decades, the technology has advanced rapidly, moving beyond ship-to-shore transmissions and military applications to enter the realm of civilian use.

The broadcast was the culmination of years of planning and innovation by Richmond Rifles owner Michael Monroe. Building on the “Autophonic Telegram” technology originally developed by Brooklyn inventor William Barclay, Monroe refined the system to create the groundbreaking transmission capabilities of WLBL.

“Yesterday’s broadcast wasn’t just a win for the Rifles,” Monroe said in a post-game statement. “It was a win for baseball and for the future of communication. From now on, the love of the game will travel farther and faster than ever before.”

This Twitch channel will broadcast games across the LBL.

Games will also be available on Youtube and in an audio format on Spotify.
