Winter Meetings

My suggestion would be to make the Winter Meetings the event it currently is IRL. I thought the transition of the trading deadline from an emailed alert into an actual in game event was brilliant. I'd love to see something similar done with the Winter Meetings. More GM interaction with CPU GMs, maybe agents of FA directly reaching out to you, alerts that such and such top of the market FA is looking to get a deal done before the meetings end, etc.

Not exactly sure but it'd be awesome to see it transform into more than its current state. For those of us that cherish the OOTP offseasons, this would add to the excitement and hope of a new offseason in the game.

I'm actually surprised the trade deadline experience hasn't been added to the winter meetings as a natural progression in OOTP. Use the current trade deadline module as a base and then, as in the OP post, add some depth to make it winter meeting specific.

Good to see someone posting the idea here. If it's not already in the developers' minds maybe this thread will be the push to "turn on the light".

Thanks all. Yeah it was top of my mind for next iteration primarily for 2 reasons.

1. I love the offseason in OOTP anything that adds an event of some kind to that I'm all in

2. The Winter Meetings have become such an event now, MLB network broadcasts what like 5 days worth of shows from the hotel there and whatnot. To Sweed's point it seemed like the next logical thing to "OOTP" imo.

Actually heard someone on MLB network the other day say the Winter Meetings is their favorite part of the baseball season, lol. There are more of us out there!

Add a Veterans Committee component for the Hall of Fame, since that's when they announce the selections now.
