How much are you spending in Perfect Team?

I was curious, how much are you spending in PT this version, and what level did you peak at?

As a play for free user, I'm curious at your highest level that you can maintain.

FTP. Reached Diamond playoffs early. Treading water in Gold for months, although a ridiculous-lucky card pull (103 Skubal Combinator) has me looking to get back into Diamond with a solid team.

I've never spent any money on PPs, although it is fun to tell my wife I'm going to spend $1000 to buy the latest shiny new player.

All three of my teams have been to Diamond but now if they get there it's a quick relegation. Most fun I've had in weeks/months was when two of my teams were relegated to Silver. Was nice winning 120+ games again!

Two of my teams have completed the PT Elite missions, one may never get there.

No money spent on points. I haven't reached my peak yet, which is making PeL playoffs. (Fell 1 game short in my only visit to PeL). I expect to complete all the missions.

Next year, I may spend $500 on day 1 so I can get to diamond in week 3 and never look back. I'm getting tired of my slow buildup strategy.

no one wants to admit anything so i'll break the seal, because I think talking about spending should be more accepted. I spent a day one three hundred dollars and nothing since.I have been competitive at the highest levels all year.

I spent about $500 as a new to the game this year player, not all at once, starting mid year.I had fun for a while but now I'm a sub 500 team stuck in Gold.

Thinking about trying the strategy next year of $500 at the beginning and not a dime after.

I am not even sure I want to spend that much because even after watching videos and reading strategies I still feel I'm not getting the most out of my team somehow.

I think my strategy settings are the problem but who knows? When I see one team with a Mariano Rivera 103 and theirs is a star closer and mine has a 12 ERA as a setup then I figure I'm probably just not very good at this game.

strategies are barely helpful: the players matter. mariano is not a good player at this point, you need 140+ stuff at diamond+ to be able to survive. he is not close. look at the players the best teams are using, and try to get those.

zero - currently in gold and have a great chance to move to diamond after this week. Took me a LONG time to get there and complete missions.

Here's my starters, all doing awful in gold this week:

Mark Prior 102 STU 143 4-7
Zach Wheeler 102 STU 146 3-8
Tom Seaver 102 STU 138 7-5

I just got these 2 and they're also awful, though some say mid week adds take a large penalty.

Roger Clemens 102 STU 146
Bullet Joe Rogan 102 STU 126

The team top of my division has the same Zach Wheeler but theirs is 7-2.

I tend to wait for point sales to occur before spending. I generally get 175,000 points every sale.

For me, that's the biggest turn off - trying to get the best player the top teams are using. As a free to play user, I can reach gold, but that's it. Instead of doing my own research, I have to see who the top teams have, and try to buy those players. It's not much fun when you see 5+ duplicate players at every position.

I really wish there could be a subset Perfect Team area, where every player is unique.

That is where Theme teams come in handy.

no but it is entertainment. why go to a fancy restaurant instead of a cheaper one? why go to a sports game instead of watching it on TV? it's a hobby that people believe is worth the fun that their money in is. it's silly to wallet judge anyone for a hobby that isn't harmful to them

I've played PT plenty when I could have been earning. The devs would probably prefer if I'd worked a bit harder and bought loads of points

It doesn't seem to matter what kind of pitchers you have.
