Season Start Waiver Trade Bonanza!

Anyone else seeing this?

When preseason ends and waivers hit for the first time, there are about 50 trades that happen. I assume the AI is trying to get something for their players that would have been exposed to waivers rather than get nothing, but it's insane. I have seen multiple instances where the same player was traded multiple times in the same day as well. All that for the team that eventually gets him to just put him on waivers.

I have seen this happen in every save I have started, in every single year. Never seen this before in FHM. I'm not setting my games up any differently than it is defaulted too.

Very strange.

EDIT:

Looking through some other posts here (I didn't see anything initially), I saw a comment from Jeff that said there is a new (I think) and intended mechanic where the AI will trade players to try and avoid losing them on waivers. Not a bad mechanic, but definitely I think the AI is taking a little further than intended.
