Everyone is now Jim Unknown

Went into my save and now everyone, including myself, is named Jim Unknown. Any idea how to get the names back without having to restart again?

That'll be a corrupted names.dat file. Start a new game of the same type as your broken save, and copy names.dat from it into your save, overwriting the one that's there. Should restore things to normal, unless other files are damaged as well.
