Massive budget glitch - PLEASE HELP!

The date is Apr. 4 1975, the day before the season starts after the inaugural season ended and spring training just completed.

International amateur FA budget for each team is showing over $100 million!

I don't know how this happened but each team is now around -$90 million dollars in their budget because of this glitch.

I tried going in for the player development tab for each team and editing the International amateur FA budget for each team to make them all $1 million instead of 100 million however whatever number I put in, when I hit enter, it changes automatically to 0. Then I try again and it automatically sets to $828,000.

I dont know how to fix this and I'm afraid to move forward with this glitch
please advise.

Did your amateur FA baseline value change to some larger value? if you change the baseline setting in your options, it should adjust team budgets to match.

Screenshots of Financials and Players tabs could help.

Players Tab has your International FA stuff in it. Can you show that page? It is two to the right from Financials. Just to make sure nothing went crazy in there.

On the league settings.

I can tell on the other picture you posted, teams have roughly 100m in other team expenses, so that implies that there's some expense item. I'm guessing somewhere in the settings 100m got entered into the field value there.

See attached.

what I did to try to fix the problem is go into each team and make their budget half of what it was ( for instance, 12 million turned into 6 million) and then I went to player development tab...

I changed the international amateur budget from the astronomical number that it was all the way down to $828,000 per team. For some reason, the game accepted either that number or zero. I also entered in the exact number for the draft budget that was the "recommended draft slot amounts" for each team and player development budget for each team to $232,000 to match the league development budget baseline.

temporarily, it seemed to fix the problem and all teams ended up with around $1 million in spending money to sign free agents.

Do you think the problem is solved or will it create issues later on?

One minor problem I'm seeing already is even though my team is over budget, and I have the warning "being over budget the development budget is limited to have the league's baseline", it is still showing $232,000 for player development budget when it should be showing 116,000.

I don't know if I created more problems by trying to fix this or what your suggestion might be. Please advise

So in this screenshot, you didn't change anything in here? Is this 100% the way the Intl FA money was setup or was the number here also the $1 mil or whatever the number was?

Edit: So I see in your first picture that the hard cap was the $276,000 so... yeah where did that $1mil come from? Because it is obvious that the IFA budget should not have been any higher than the cap?

you are correct sir! Doesn't make any sense.

Do you think the fix that I put in should solve the problem? Or will it create more problems?

It's hard to tell... I am not sure what caused that crazy issue. Only time I have seen a difference in IFA money is when it is adjust by rev sharing but, that's not your issue and it does not inflate the money that bad.
