Manager Ejections -- Why not?

It would be fun to see a manager tossed (and the bench coach and his ratings) take over. Particularly if the other team has a C with high 'Framing'.

A Lou Pinella-like explosion would be a delight, even if your manager gets suspended for a few games.

Old versions had an option for the manager to come out and argue with umpires.
I would like to see that again.

Id also like umpires and crews with personality traits that age etc..

I'm going to guess MLB requested it be taken out just like suspensions for drug use was taken out by MLB's request.

They have players charging the mound and getting ejected and suspended so I don't think this is the reason. I'd vote to add manager elections too. Would be interesting.

It was a silly feature when it was in the game IMHO. Like real life nothing changed due to you arguing a call. If you got tossed your coach took over the team, probably threw your star RP in a situation he wasn't needed, that meant he wasn't available the next day when you did need him. Or brought in the guy that desperately needed a day off half way through the game meaning he needed to take another day off.

If one wants to bring it back as a immersion thing, that's fine. It doesn't even have to be an option you turn on or off. Arguing as the manager, when it was in the game, was like throwing at a batter, either you do it or you don't.

As far as MLB being the reason? Nonsense in my opinion. I mean I can throw at a real MLBPA player and injure him, but I can't argue a call and get tossed because that's a bad look?

I am okay with it but it wouldn’t make my top 50 priority list.
On 2nd thought, I think it would make the game look cartoonish.

I would rather they concentrate on getting the current game corrected. This version is a mess in so many ways. For no reason I have started having trouble with the schedule. Started a new save and no matter what I do the series start on Thursday's and end on Sunday's. I haven't changed any settings from previous saves. I can't locate the reason. This is just the latest of the issues I have had with this version.

Yes. Players and managers have to be saints. Only owners can be modeled as the uninformed jerks so many are.

Well, I just got a player ejected for arguing a third strike call...so why not implement managers being ejected for a cyberish(sp) bad call?

It would be, but the MLB licensing folks probably prohibit it. Probably the same reason we don't have bench clearing brawls. They'd make great storylines though.

But I did have a bench clearing brawl, at least one that other players got involved, and suspension were given out, v 25, a few updates ago...
