Defensive and Injury Subs ... another example of how non-intuitive this can be
Okay, so I'm in the top of the tenth ... we score the go-ahead, and my closer bats and grounds out, because I'd rather have him be able to stay in and pitch with the 7-6 lead, rather than immediately replace him -- though I have two guys warmed up and ready. I click to go on to the bottom of the inning and I get the "You need to make a defensive sub" popup.
Ok, so who needs replaced? There's nothing in the game log that says anyone got hurt. I try replacing my pitcher, and that's not the issue, apparently. Nobody in my lineup shows that they're hurt, or has any visual cue on the screen that says "hey, yo, replace me!" Since you can't "save and quit" without first replacing the required player, I had to ctr-alt-del ... so the only evidence is the screen grab I am attaching here. If any of you see something I didn't, please do let me know. BUT .... Can we agree that the dialog that pops up is woefully unhelpful? Would it be difficult to code a dialog that says "your LF has been injured on the previous play and needs to be subbed out ..." or the like? Seriously asking, because as a player with poor vision (legally blind) I do very well with this game on every aspect BUT the substitution screen / process. EDIT: And if it's something that was in the game commentary, but not in the game log, then we need to have the ability to get past that dialog and actually read the play-by-play, because having this screen with no indication of who needs subbed out just makes it difficult for no reason ... especially since you can't do "trial by error" since you cannot undo moves made on this screen once they're made. Thanks
