OOTP 25 HOTFIX Patch (Version 25.8.87) Available!

Important: This patch is only for OOTP 25 versions which were purchased directly from our webstore or resellers who use our Fastspring / QLM version. Steam users, please update from within the Steam client. If you used the Steam private beta password yesterday, make sure to opt out of the beta and restart the Steam client, that should trigger the update.

Hi everybody!

The last patch introduced some issues that we wanted to fix in a timely manner, so here's a HOTFIX patch, version 25.8.87.

Note to online league members: This patch is compatible between versions.

Changelists 25.8.87:

Fixed crash when re-entering game in progress
Adjusted IAFA development
PT: Fixed card shop my orders not updating correctly
PT: Fixed combinator points mismatch when submitting with saved combinator lists
PT: Fixed infinite refresh on sell cards page

Changelists 25.8.85:

Updated default rosters, need to start a new game for changes to apply
Fixed a crash in the league expansion dialog

Changelists 25.8.84:

Fixed some rare crashes
Fixed 2016 Binghamton Mets missing

Changelists 25.8.83:

Updated default rosters, need to start a new game for changes to apply
Fixed rating cap values for development lab program improvements
Updated Live Start draft players minor league placement
Fixed game performance issues introduced in previous patch
Drive For the Pennant: Can now run as Live Start, starting any day of the season, up to the end of August
Fixed players not on playoff roster appearing in games
Adjusted talent randomness
- Increased rate of talent changes
- Adjusted balance of when TCR changes apply
Updated Player Development
- Fielding ratings will not age as aggressively when players first start to hit the aging years
- Fielding ratings aging will be impacted by other factors, such as speed and player body types (heavier players will lose fielding faster than lighter players)
Fixed drive mode home screen scroll not sticking
Fixed drive mode widget contents not displaying when "hide scores" option is checked
Fixed audience wearing wrong shirt colors
Improved AI DFA logic
Fixed missing 2023 minors in historical games
In historical games, adjusted recalc rules for players with missed seasons
- If a player missed the season entirely, fielding recalc is not performed on them
- If a player missed the entire range of the recalc, batting/pitching ratings will not be done ie. if using 3 year recalc, Ted Williams will have a recalc performed on him in 1943 using only his 1942 stats, he will not have a recalc done in 1944 since he has no stats in either season near there, and in 1945 the recalc would be performed using his 1946 season as the base. If using 5 year recalc, the recalc would be done all of the seasons as normal. If using 1 year recalc, none of those 3 seasons would have a recalc done on him

Fixed some issues with player ages when creating players manually
Live Start: Fixed suspended games
PT: Updated Card Combinator interactions
- Cards intended to use in a combinator attempt will now be saved between sessions on the same machine (lists are NOT saved between computers, or between desktop/mobile)
- Ability to filter Manage Cards screen with showing cards intended to use in combinator attempts as tagged. Before mass quicksell, will warn when cards tagged for use in an attempt are included in list
- Added ability to select combinator card to view relations with on manage cards screen, filter/sort by relation points
- Added ability to add/remove cards to combinator attempt using right click from manage cards screen
PT: Added your order info to card shop
- If you do not own another copy of a card, Yellow = has buy order on card, Red = Has sell order on card
- Added * if you have one of the best offers on a card, buy or sell, and mouse-over display of your best offer on a card
- To My Cards list, color if you have best offer for buy/sell offer
PT: Added ability to remove Combinator status on card
- Removes combinator status and any upgrades
- Card becomes eligible to quicksell at normal price, if not locked by a mission
Misc bugfixes & tweaks

Update Info for our webstore customers: To apply the update, simply download the setup file and install it over your current installation. There is no need to uninstall or unlicense your current copy! However, you should quit the game before installing it, of course. Updates always contain all the changes from previous updates. Saved games are compatible between different versions.

Here's a PC installer (Fastspring) that installs into a single folder, which is useful for external HDs for example. Or for creating a second test install of the game, so you can try the patch out without the risk of messing up your main install of the game if something is wrong in the patch:
