Schedules from 2025 still wrong

Series still take Fridays off and start on Saturdays after the new patch. This is incredible to me. End of August and this is still not fixed. I love OOTP but how can this go unfixed for this long?

That and the issue with relievers asking for the same salaries as top starters still being there surprises me.

You can solve this issue yourself by adjusting the in-game schedule options.

I haven't moved to 2026 in my current save yet, but in my last save I was able to get it right by changing the force start day to Wednesday from the default Thursday.

This isn't a big deal I still love the game and play it too much... but this is something that has NEVER been a problem in every other version of OOTP I've played (at least 10 years) and is still not fixed in this version and that's just not what I expect from OOTP. They've spoiled me with quick replies and being so responsive and I expect more than I should, I guess.

That said, I'm not a coder but I can't imagine that this is a super hard fix. I feel like in the past OOTP would have taken care of this in April, but they just neglect this stupid little thing and it's slightly frustrating.

Please explain so my schedules are closer to normal.

See this thread which was about the same problem. In particular note posts #18 and #19 as well as posts #24 through #32. These provide some background on how schedules are supposed to work and the various considerations involved.

The 2024 MLB season started on a Wednesday with the overseas games in Korea, and the continental openers happened on the Thursday of the following week. The 2023 schedule doesn't have any overseas openers.

(Personally, I think OOTP should edit out any early overseas openers to later in the season since [a] they can mess with subsequent seasons as early openers will appear in them too, and [b] OOTP doesn't recreate the special roster rules in effect for the teams playing overseas nor that spring training games get played again after the regular season overseas games.)

The 2025 MLB schedule will also open overseas, in Tokyo.

I'd love it if they would edit the schedule to move the overseas games as an alternate choice, and keep the actual schedule too for those that want it.

That works too. I've gone through all the early overseas opener seasons and worked out good dates to move them to.

2000 = Mar. 29, CHN at NYN -- move to Apr. 24
2000 = Mar. 30, NYN at CHN -- move to June 15

2004 = Mar. 30, NYA at TBA -- move to Apr. 5
2004 = Mar. 31, NYA at TBA -- move to May 27
The above also requires the following changes:
May 27, NYA at BAL -- move to May 24
May 27, MIN at TBA -- move to May 24

2008 = Mar. 25, BOS at OAK -- move to Mar. 31
2008 = Mar. 26, BOS at OAK -- move to Apr. 3

2012 = Mar. 28, SEA at OAK -- move to Apr. 8
2012 = Mar. 29, SEA at OAK -- move to July 12

2014 = Mar. 22, LAN at ARI -- move to May 15
2014 = Mar. 23, LAN at ARI -- move to Aug. 28

2019 = Mar. 20, SEA at OAK -- move to May 23
2019 = Mar. 21, SEA at OAK -- move to July 15
The above also requires the following change:
May 30, ANA at SEA -- move to Apr. 3

2024 = Mar. 20, LAN at SDN -- move to Aug. 1
2024 = Mar. 21, SDN at LAN -- move to Apr. 11

2025 = Mar. 18, LAN at CHN -- move to Apr. 21
2025 = Mar. 19, LAN at CHN -- move to Apr. 24
